  I first scheduled an app for a filling that had come loose. I informed the receptionist of this when I made the app. When I arrived and gave them my dental insurance I was quickly pawned off to a tech to have my teeth cleaned. After a 45 min cleaning dr Timothy came in to give me an exam. Upon completion of the exam he informed me of what I already knew and schedule me for an app at there other office in Gibson in for TWO WEEKS later. I bit my tongue and suffered through with a small hole in my tooth. I arrived two weeks later to said app and after multiple Novocain shots and a lot of pain. I was informed that he had gone to deep and the tooth would need a root canal. I thought that was what the xrays are for but fine I need a root canal now. So of coarse we have to reschedule for a later date and of coarse that's two weeks out. So now I have a temporary filling and another two weeks to suffer through. The night before the root canal is scheduled the temp filling comes out. Im thinking no problem I had already eaten dinner and I was in no pain. I arrive for the root canal Only to be told that we cannot finish the root canal because it could have become infected from saliva getting into the tooth. Ugg.. but before I'm sent packing he decides to take the nerve out of the tooth so I have an even deeper whole and more of a chance for an infection. All in the name of what I speculate is a way to save time on my next visit. The roots are packed with paper and I'm sent out with a presciption for amoxicilian. Of coarse you guessed it two whole weeks before another app. Two days before the two weeks are up and I awake at 2:00 am in excruciating pain. I drive to Walmart get some ora gel and set up the whole night in pain. I call chips as soon as they open and I'm told the gibsonia offfice which is 5 mins away from me can't see me td (mind you this is emergency as far as I'm concerned). Oh but they do have an Opening 50 mins away at there Ross park location but not until 1:45. At this point I'm coming to expect these things and of coarse I agree (what choice do I have). Upon arrival the dentist basically says the antibiotics aren't working and try's to send me packing with a new prescription. I protest and say I want the tooth removed (I am in excruciating pain and would rather spend a couple of grand on an implant than suffer through). I'm informed he can't do that and I would need to see a surgeon, but he does agrees to open up the tooth to see if he can drain it. I am a grown man and I was thrashing like a child as he probed deep in my tooth trying to free any pressure trapped And of coarse no luck. I am given a card for a local surgeon to have the tooth removed and a prescription for Clindamycin. Of coarse when I leave I immediately call the surgeon only to be told they can't get me in anywhere for a week. What can I do I make the app. So now Im in a mass amount of pain and I'm on a very strong antibiotic that turns my stomach when I take it all from the start of a lost filling that provided me with no pain. Thanks chips I've lost conservatively $1500 in wages and my insurance has paid you hundreds to have you put me in pain that was never there before. I feel like this is the opposite affect a dentist is supposed to have on its patients. All I can say is avoid Chips dental like the plague.
